ASTROXIA

Where Innovation meets Infinity

Space and Rockets

Two of Astrox’s biggest passions are space and rocketry — a perfect mix of science and cutting-edge technology. He’s especially fascinated by launch vehicles like Blue Origin’s New Shepard, Rocket Lab’s Electron, SpaceX’s Falcon 9, and the upcoming Neutron rocket. These aren’t just cool to watch — they’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in aerospace and opening up new frontiers in space exploration. When it comes to “space,” the word can mean different things to different people. For some, it covers everything from astronomy and astrophysics to aerospace engineering — and even astrology. While Astrox is mainly focused on the scientific side of things, especially astronomy and the study of the universe, he recognizes that astrology often gets grouped in with space in popular culture. He draws a clear line between science and belief — but understands why people associate both with the mysteries of the cosmos.

Tech

I’ve always loved tech because it’s constantly evolving — there’s always something new to learn or a different way to solve a problem. Programming, in particular, gives me the tools to build things and tackle real-world challenges, which is incredibly satisfying.

One device I’ve been especially excited about lately is the PicoCalc. It’s a tiny but powerful handheld built around the Raspberry Pi Pico, and it's great for coding on the go or experimenting with lightweight projects. Despite its size, it packs a full keyboard, a compact display, and enough horsepower to run custom programs — making it perfect for tinkerers, devs, or anyone who enjoys hands-on hardware work.I even made an unboxing video on my channel to show off its design and what it can do. It’s a super portable, one-of-a-kind device that really opens up a lot of creative possibilities.Right now, I’m working on a custom lightweight operating system for the PicoCalc. It’s a fun challenge — I’m diving into multitasking, basic UI design, and seeing how far I can push this little device in terms of functionality. It’s also been a great way to sharpen my skills in low-level programming and embedded systems. There’s something really cool about seeing how much you can do with such minimal hardware.

Astralixi

Astralixi, is an Operating System which Astrox is working on for the amazing PicoCalc. It will run on a mere 64kb of ram, and it will support the Pico 2W board (for only versions alpha and beta) and the Luckfox Lyra RK3506G2 for all other versions. The OS will aim to make your PicoCalc more like your actual computer. It will have a notepad, file manager, app handler, a search engine (eventually), etc. The OS will also obviously have a command line (while also having a TUI) with lots of commands for ease of use! For updates on the OS check out Astrox's reddit profile! The OS is also open source, so if you want to contribute, follow the instructions in the README file on the official github page.
Versions have been released, Check out the below Github link! (OS Releases)

Youtube

Astrox is a YouTube channel that dives into the worlds of space, rocketry, and tech. Whether it's breaking down the latest space missions or exploring cool new gadgets, Astrox brings you along for the ride with clear, engaging content. From deep dives into space science to real-time rocket launch coverage, the channel is all about making complex topics easy to understand — and fun to watch. If you're into space exploration, you’ll find videos that break down how things work, what’s happening out there, and why it all matters.Astrox also covers hands-on tech, like the PicoCalc — a Raspberry Pi Pico-powered (but can be switched out for other boards like the Lyra) handheld for programmers and tinkerers. Expect honest reviews, walkthroughs, and ideas for how you can use devices like these in your own projects.Whether you're a die-hard space nerd, a curious techie, or just someone who loves learning new things, Astrox is here to spark your curiosity and keep you informed.
